#Plank Challenge #RMHCUK
Did you know the longest plank is 8 hours, 15 minutes and 15 seconds? Unbelievable!
One of our amazing supporters, Bruce Turner (from Cbeebies) has launched the Plank Challenge on our behalf.
In these very difficult times, by taking on this challenge and making a donation to our Charity, you can help us to keep our doors open to do what we do best – support families with children in Hospital.
Thank you so much for everything you do for us, it’s deeply appreciated…..SO, here’s what you can do to take part in the Plank Challenge yourself!
- Find a spot at home to do your plank in for as long as possible
- Take a photo or video of you ‘planking’, then post to social media
- Include the hashtags #RMHCUK #PlankChallenge
- Then nominate five friends to take on The Plank Challenge
- Text to donate to 70470 or on our website
We will then add your time to our ‘plank-o-meter’ so you can see how well you did against everyone else!
The amount you decide to donate is up to you, but to give you an idea, it costs us £25 a day to provide free accommodation and support to one family in one of our 11 Houses . As an independent charity, we very much rely on public donations, especially during this difficult time.
How to donate: Text ‘Plank x’ to 70470 and just add in the amount you can donate e.g. Plank 5 to donate £5, Plank 10 to donate £10 etc.
The legal stuff: Texts cost the donation amount plus a standard rate message and you’ll be opting in to hear more about our work and fundraising via telephone and SMS. If you’d like to donate but do not wish to receive marketing communications, text PLANKNOINFO x (the donation amount) to 70470.
OR make your donation on our website directly
Thank you so much for supporting our charity; it really means the world to us. We hope planking becomes part of your indoor daily activity and helps you to gain strength and fitness. We also hope that you and your family stay safe and healthy at this time.
P.S. Please do not attempt this challenge if you are injured or pregnant. Planks are supposed to be good for building up your core strength and stability. If you’re not a hardcore Planker, start slowly and don’t overdo it please. Search online for videos and tips to undertake planks safely. We cannot accept any responsibility for any injuries as a result of undertaking this challenge. Thank you!
