Each year we help 6,000 families stay close to their children in hospital. And with your help, we can build Houses to support even more.

Support families with children in hospital

Helping more families

The best medical care for your child isn’t always close to home. Families often find themselves travelling long distances to get to their child’s hospital. Ronald McDonald House Charities UK provides families with free accommodation and support, just a stone’s throw from their child’s ward.

Our vision is for every child in hospital to have their families close by. Your support is vital to help us reach more families who desperately need a place to stay.

Our Impact

Your help changes lives

Thanks to our supporters and fundraisers, we help families whose children are facing a long hospital stay far from home. Learn more on the Our Impact page.

Home Away from Kenya | Lydia’s story

“Being in a ‘ward bubble’ is stressful. Having the bedroom at Ronald McDonald House to come back to after a long day on the ward and being able to have a bath, watch a film, make a coffee and sit down was fantastic to take care of myself.”

Making Friends in Unexpected Places | Julie’s Story

“To make friends in the House both times we stayed there was amazing. We could support each other, and lend a friendly ear to listen, knowing it was coming from someone who truly understood the ups and downs of having a child in hospital.”

A Special Father’s Day: Riley’s Story

“I honestly do not know what we would have done without the House. I would have had to spend months travelling to and from home on public transport, which would have seriously limited our time together as a family.”
