Masked Singer: Aston Merrygold 'takes it off' in an amazing surprise visit!

This week, our friends at McDonald’s UK arranged a special surprise for families staying in the Ronald McDonald House Southampton as well as patients and staff in Southampton Children’s Hospital.
Singer and actor Aston Merrygold, took his performing skills to the Ronald McDonald House in Southampton for a special Masked Singer performance for families staying there.
Dressed in the very Robin costume he performed in on Season 2 of Masked Singer, Aston sang two songs before revealing the famous face behind the mask.
Aston MerrygoldThis was my second time visiting a Ronald McDonald House with McDonald’s and I was honoured to be able to perform for some of the families and help brighten their day. The work that Ronald McDonald House Charities UK does in supporting families, who are going through some of their toughest moments, is truly inspiring and I’m delighted to be working with McDonald’s to raise awareness for such an important charity.
Before flying off, Robin (aka Aston), spent time with families and heard the stories of their time in the House.
Becky Baines, Deputy House Manager at the Southampton House said: “We were over the moon to welcome Aston to the Southampton House this week and it was great to see the smiles on the children’s faces as Aston revealed himself as the famous face behind the mask.
“We’re so grateful to McDonald’s and Aston for their support raising awareness and vital funds which mean our Charity can continue its important work.”
