Charity announces itself as a Disability Confident Committed employer

Thursday 18 May marks Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), which is an awareness day focusing on digital access and inclusion for those who live with disabilities and impairments.
As we mark GAAD, we want to celebrate the progress we are making to create a truly inclusive environment allowing all employees to thrive.
We’re pleased to announce that Ronald McDonald House Charities UK is now recognised as a Disability Confident Committed employer and as such we’ve set out five core commitments:
- Inclusive and accessible recruitment
- Communicating vacancies
- Offering interviews to disabled people
- Providing reasonable adjustments
- Supporting existing employees
This is a voluntary Government scheme and we’re excited to share this step in our journey and will remain transparent with our updates as we strive to become a Disability Confident Leader.
