How we use your donation
As an independent charity, we rely on the support and generosity of our volunteers, fundraisers and donors to keep thousands of families close to their sick children in hospital each year.
At Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, we believe that sick children need their families close. But the best medical care for children isn’t always going to be close to home and families often find themselves travelling long distances, to get to their child’s ward.
That’s where we come in
Ronald McDonald House Charities UK provides families with free accommodation and support, just a stone’s throw from their child’s hospital bed. Parents and siblings have a place to rest their heads, along with facilities allowing them to retain as much normality as possible. With every donation you make, you’re helping us to keep families together, when it matters most.
70p from every pound donated is spent on running and developing Houses.
We saved each family, on average, £1,240 in out-of-pocket accommodation costs.
We are partnered with 14 NHS hospitals across England, Scotland and Wales.
We saved families, on average, from travelling 68 miles to and from hospital each day to be with their child.
