Fundraising

We urgently need your help to transform our ‘home away from home’.

Get Involved

Everyone can get involved in fundraising to help us reach our £2.2 million target towards the project costs, and there are so many ways to do it. Whether you are one of our past families wanting to give back; an individual wanting to challenge yourself; a school looking for a charity to support; a business wanting to motivate your staff; or a group wanting to support a local cause. No matter how big or small, everyone’s efforts will be invaluable to the future families of Ronald McDonald House Alder Hey.

We’ve included some fun ideas below to give you some inspiration, but the possibilities are endless! If you have an idea you’d like to discuss, or would like some more tips and advice, we’d love to hear from you.

Get in touch with us by emailing to rmhc.supportercare@uk.mcd.com or fill in the form below to access our Mac House Appeal fundraising pack.

On your own

Get sponsored – challenge yourself and run, walk, cycle or swim a distance of your choice.

Celebrate with us and dedicate your birthday or anniversary to our families, asking friends to make a donation in lieu of a gift.

Give something up for a month, or even a year, and ask for donations or donate what you save.

Dye your hair a wacky colour, or even shave it off!

As a school

Wear your comfiest PJs for the day and ask everyone to donate £1

Host a school disco and blast all your favourite tunes!

Get your steps in with a group sponsored walk around your playground or in your local area

At work

Take part in a group challenge to promote teamwork, or even a bit of friendly competition!

Enjoy some laughs and host a comedy night.

Donate the cost of your daily commute – when hit by train strikes.

Donate a day’s pay, or even sign up to Payroll Giving.

As a community group

Clear out your wardrobes and host a Jumble Jamboree at a local venue.

Contact your local council about holding a bucket collection.

Get TEAgether with afternoon tea.
