What to expect

A Ronald McDonald House is a comfortable place for families with sick children to rest, just steps away from their child’s hospital.

Step inside one of our Ronald McDonald Houses, a safe haven for families with poorly children in hospital. Watch this video to take a look inside.

All Houses include:

Supportive and compassionate staff

Kitchens where families can eat together

Communal areas for resting and relaxing

Telephone connected to your child’s ward

Toys and space where children can play

A place for the whole family

Extended family and friends are welcome to visit and where possible we will provide larger family rooms so that grandparents can stay. We often host family events like birthday parties and celebrations in the communal areas in our Houses.

Facilities available

Our Houses are built to be homely, that’s why each of them come with fitted kitchens and communal areas, en-suite bedrooms and some even have outside spaces too.

“In the House we were able to be a family, living together and doing things that families do, like how we cooked and ate dinner together every evening.”
