£50 Challenge

We’re looking for businesses, organisations and sole traders or groups to put their entrepreneurial skills to the test in this year’s £50 challenge.

Are you part of a team that has what it takes to generate vital funds?

The idea is simple, start with £50 and over three months turn this money into as much as you possibly can!  How you decide to do this is entirely up to you.  Whatever size your team you can take part. It’s great fun and a rewarding way of helping support families with seriously ill children in hospital.

How it works

How it works

The two 2021 challenge periods are:

1 July to 30 September

1 October to 31 December

You can sign up anytime before the challenge period starts

  • Once signed up, your business or group will be presented with your £50 start-up investment if required
  • You are responsible for making your £50 grow into hundreds or even thousands of pounds
  • Our fundraising team will be on hand to help and support you every step of the way, providing everything you need to be successful in your fundraising
  • We’ll celebrate your achievements as well as featuring you in our newsletters, on our website and our social media

What’s in it for you

We appreciate how tough things are and so this challenge is a Covid-proof way to boost morale and enthusiasm. Whether a team of three or 300, this challenge is for you! You can include your suppliers or clients if you wish. It’s a fantastic way to engage your team, club or group, as well as:

  • Demonstrate your corporate social responsibility
  • Benefit from some positive PR
  • Increase awareness of your business by linking with a local charity branch
  • Team building within your workplace, boosting morale and enthusiasm
  • Networking potential with other participating businesses
  • Increased engagement with clients, customers or suppliers

What sort of thing can you do?

The only limit is your imagination! The idea is to invest your £50 to achieve the biggest return and then reinvest your profits to make even more.

Here are a few starters for ten to get your team’s cogs turning:

  • Buy five members of your team five places on a fundraising event
  • Buy ingredients to stage a BBQ, a lunch or bake sale
  • Stage a quiz, comedy or talent night and use the money to hire a venue
  • Buy a hamper or other goods and hold a raffle to make a profit
